September 2001 - Chronology
|
(for about 30 students)
- Preparation:
Copy sheet 1 sheet
2 and sheet 3, and
cut each sentence as indicated.
- In
class: give each student a sentence, making sure that all 7 sentences
constituting the chronology are shuffled
- Student’s
role: the students will write the sentence they have been given in their
notebook, and conjugate the verb in the correct tense (simple past). Once they
have done this, they swap their sentence with the sentence of another student,
write it down, and conjugate the verb. The students will keep swaping papers
(sentences) until they have collected the 7 different sentences composing the
paragraph.
Finally, they will easily rewrite
the complete paragraph
in chronological order in their notebook.
